「生産動態統計」によると、2023年4月の印刷業の生産金額は前年同月比1.8%増の308億でした。前年同月比増は9か月連続。コロナ禍前の2019年4月比で11億円低い水準。品種別では、商業印刷が前年同月比1.1%増、出版印刷は2.3％減少しました。証券印刷は8.0％減、包装印刷は5.7％増となりました。「生産金額」とは、印刷部門のみ（製版費、製本・加工費を含まない）の金額で、紙等の材料費を除き、消費税を含めたもの。従業員100名以上の事業所を対象とした値です。
